About CuttingAge
CuttingAge helps older adults, caregivers, and families find trustworthy information without the frustration of navigating multiple websites and complex systems. We make information easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to use—helping people stay informed, connected, and independent at every stage of life.
We believe that access to clear, reliable information is essential to healthy aging, informed decision-making, and participation in community life. Everyone deserves information that is easy to understand, practical, and available in the language they understand best.
Why CuttingAge Exists
CuttingAge was created in response to a personal experience shared by many families.
When our founder's father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, her family searched for reliable information, treatment options, and community support. Instead, they encountered scattered resources, confusing medical language, and websites that were difficult to navigate. If finding trustworthy information was challenging for the family, it is even more difficult for someone living with Parkinson's, whose energy, attention, and motor skills could change from day to day.
Her family had previously experienced the challenges of dementia and understood how isolating brain disorders can be for both individuals and those who care for them. They also saw how clear communication, patience, and familiar language could help people remain connected and engaged.
These experiences revealed a broader problem. Too often, older adults and caregivers are expected to navigate fragmented information scattered across many different sources and websites. Valuable services exist, but they are not always easy to find or understand.
CuttingAge was created to help bridge that gap.
What CuttingAge Does
Today, CuttingAge brings together trusted information, community resources, government services, and practical guidance in one accessible place for older adults.
Rather than replacing the organizations that provide these services, we help people discover and understand them more easily. We organize information in plain language, highlight practical details such as eligibility, accessibility, contact information, and next steps, and present resources in ways that are easier to browse and compare.
Our goal is to reduce confusion, save time, and help people make informed decisions with greater confidence.
We also support community organizations, nonprofits, healthcare providers, and businesses that serve older adults by helping people discover the programs, services, and resources they offer.
What Makes CuttingAge Different

We bring together resources from trusted organizations into a single, easy-to-navigate experience designed around the needs of older adults and caregivers. Every effort is made to present information in plain language, reduce unnecessary complexity, and make important details easier to identify.
Our approach is guided by principles of accessibility, inclusion, respect, and independence.
What CuttingAge Doesn't Do
To maintain transparency, it is important to be clear about our role.

- We do not provide legal or financial advice or represent government agencies.
- We do not guarantee the quality, availability, pricing, or outcomes of third-party programs or services.
- We do not provide emergency assistance.
Designed in Consultation with Older Adults
CuttingAge has been shaped with the participation of more than 100 older adults representing different backgrounds, cultures, and languages.
Through interviews, conversations, and usability testing, participants shared their experiences using computers, tablets, and smartphones to search for information online. Their feedback influenced the organization of information, navigation, language, and overall user experience.
This collaborative approach continues to guide the development of CuttingAge.
What you share, and what we do with it
You can browse CuttingAge without an account and without sharing personal information.
CuttingAge uses artificial intelligence to help you search and to power your Guide. When you type a search or send your Guide a message, your words are sent to an AI service to find results and write a reply. Before we send them, we remove your name, phone number, and email — but the words themselves still go. Please don't share anything you wouldn't want handled this way.
If you create an account, you decide what to share, and you can ask us to change or delete it at any time. What we collect, how long we keep it, and who we work with is described in our Privacy Policy.
